WHO am I?

My passport is Polish, my heart is Spanish, my home is a little hard to define and my soul is creative. I’m an abstract expressionist artist, currently living in Dubai.

I was born and raised in Poland, where my passion for art was sparked at a very young age. I have painted, drawn, sculpted, and experimented with different media for as long as I can remember. My artworks have been exhibited both locally and internationally, however I haven’t pursued a career as an artist until I picked up my brush & spatula again in 2020, after many years as an expatriate in Spain, Asia and Middle East.

Contrary to my artistic education and previous work, I now create abstract expressionist art and experiment with my own media. I chose this style for its freedom of expression, as well as for the intuitive and spontaneous process of artistic creation.

It is a mindfulness practice, free from expectation or judgment, yet full of many different emotions that get captured as they come, without any filter, regardless of their positive or negative charge.

That’s why every piece is unique and gives a genuine glimpse of a state of mind, to stimulate viewers’ imagination and allow them to build their own, personal interpretation of every piece and connect with it in their own way.

For me, the true beauty of art lies in its openness, honesty, as well as its ability to both process and evoke different emotions, as if it could speak a thousand languages without voicing out a single word at all.

Best,

Izabela Sara

My Media

I work with my own crafted media, combined with a limited colour range of acrylic paint.

My key medium is Original Amber Glaze, which I have developed over the past few years. It is a coffee-based mix of organic and synthetic ingredients that gives my artworks a glossy texture and distinctive shades of amber hues, from deep dark to light warm. Solo, it gives a tarry, glazelike texture. When mixed with different media, it produces a range of spontaneous patterns and effects, depending on the concentration and volume used.

My latest medium, EcoText, is a blend of tripleprocessed recycled paper and natural resins. It adds a distinctive texture to my artworks and serves as a non-toxic, sustainable alternative to traditional modelling paste.

My artworks are textured, including thick spatula and brush strokes, natural cracks, and layers of various media. The use of crafted organic ingredients in my paintings makes the whole painting process and the results unconventional, compelling, and also: more environmentally friendly.

COMMISSIONED ARTWORK

Commissioning a painting is an excellent opportunity for a personalized, original piece of art customized to the interior design of any space it is meant to complete and enhance.

If you're interested in any particular piece or style of mine, I’m open to discussing both private and commercial projects. Let's talk!

ART HELPS

Art has helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life.

I have witnessed myself how the creative process can improve mental and emotional well-being in many ways. It helps to reduce anxiety, foster self-awareness and self-esteem, cultivate emotional resilience, and develop mental strength. It can soothe, bring relief and be an outlet when one cannot find words.

I have been fortunate to have access to the tools and guidance that I needed at times, however, not everyone may have the same luck or awareness that I had.

That is why I donate 3% of my art sales to several organizations that help people foster their mental strength and give support in difficult moments, including helplines, volunteers & mental health research.

I believe these organizations help in different ways to give solutions on the spot and in the long run.

Shout is the UK’s first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope with anxiety, stress, depression, or suicidal thoughts, or is overwhelmed and needs in-the-moment support.

7cups connects people to caring listeners for free emotional support. Thanks to thousands of volunteer listeners stepping up to lend a friendly ear, this is a place where you’ll be heard and cared for.

The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is committed to funding the most innovative ideas in neuroscience and psychiatry to better understand the causes and develop new ways to treat brain and behaviour disorders.

With every piece of my art that you purchase, you will receive a donation certificate/confirmation from the organization you choose to support. Hopefully, we can all help to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and contribute to scientific developments that will help at least one person.
